ESSERLAW is pleased to welcome two new members to our Legal Team: Attorney Michael J. Cerniglia and Attorney Michael Rud.

“Mike” Cerniglia grew up in Lake Geneva, WI and has a strong family connection to Southeastern WI. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999, and Hamline University School of Law in 2004, he began his career as a part-time public defender in Southeast Minnesota. Attorney Cerniglia began practicing bankruptcy law as a way to help good people make a fresh start when faced with difficult circumstances. He practiced bankruptcy law in Minneapolis, MN for eight years before joining ESSERLAW. In addition to bankruptcy his experience, Mike has practiced real estate law, family law, and social security disability law, which often intersect with bankruptcy.

Attorney Michael Rud hales from the Milwaukee area, and is an avid fan of all Wisconsin Sports. Michael graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both his Undergraduate and Juris Doctorate Degrees. Initially Michael had a general, civil practice which included: Criminal Law, Landlord/Tenant Disputes, and Real Estate Law. Helpful by nature, Attorney Rud decided to expand his practice to include Bankruptcy because he personally knows people in unfair situations completely out of their control. He joined ESSERLAW in an effort to help people with similar circumstances by letting them know what options are available to them.
